1. Introduction

Welcome to hokeepau.com (“the Website”), operated by HKP Food Technology Pte. Ltd. (“Ho Kee Pau”, “we”, “us”, “our”), a company incorporated in Singapore. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Website and any purchase of products through it, whether for delivery or self-collection. By accessing the Website or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use the Website.

2. About Us

Ho Kee Pau has been handcrafting traditional Chinese pau, dim sum and pastries since 1992, with outlets across Singapore’s heartland malls.

⚑ TO CONFIRM: Insert company UEN / registration number and registered address here.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or have the consent of a parent or guardian, to place an order through the Website.

4. Products & Pricing

  • All prices listed on the Website are in Singapore Dollars (SGD).
  • Product images are for illustration only; actual appearance may vary slightly due to the handmade nature of our products.
  • We reserve the right to change prices, descriptions, and product availability at any time without prior notice.
  • If a product becomes unavailable after your order is placed, we will inform you and offer a substitute, partial refund, or full refund for that item.

⚑ TO CONFIRM: Confirm whether displayed prices are GST-inclusive and insert the correct wording.

5. Orders & Payment

  • An order placed through the Website is an offer to purchase; a binding contract is only formed once we confirm your order (e.g. via email, SMS, or an order confirmation page).
  • A minimum purchase amount currently applies for delivery orders ($150), which we may revise at our discretion.
  • Payment must be made in full at the point of ordering, via the payment methods made available on the Website.
  • We reserve the right to cancel or refuse any order at our discretion, including in cases of suspected fraud, pricing or listing errors, or stock unavailability.

6. Delivery & Self-Collection

  • Delivery is available islandwide in Singapore, subject to the minimum order value stated on the Website.
  • Estimated delivery or collection timeslots are shown at checkout; actual timing may vary due to traffic, weather, or other operational factors beyond our control.
  • As our products are freshly prepared and perishable, please ensure someone is available to receive the delivery at the stated address and time. We are not responsible for spoilage or quality issues caused by a delayed collection or an unattended delivery.
  • Self-collection is available at our participating outlets during their operating hours.

7. Cancellations, Returns & Refunds

As our products are freshly prepared, perishable food items, orders generally cannot be cancelled, exchanged, or refunded once confirmed, except as set out below or as required by Singapore consumer protection law.

  • If you receive a product that is damaged, incorrect, or does not meet acceptable food quality standards, please contact us within [24 hours] of receipt with photo evidence. We will assess each case and may offer a replacement, store credit, or refund at our discretion.
  • Approved refunds will be made to the original payment method within a reasonable time.

This clause is expanded in our separate Refund & Return Policy — see the policy checklist on the final page.

8. Food Safety & Allergen Information

  • Our products are prepared in kitchens that handle wheat/gluten, soy, egg, shellfish and other seafood, peanuts, and tree nuts, and may contain traces of these allergens even where not listed as a direct ingredient.
  • Customers with food allergies or dietary restrictions should contact us directly before ordering.
  • Please consume perishable products within the recommended timeframe and follow any storage or reheating guidance provided.

⚑ TO CONFIRM: Confirm current allergen list and any halal / dietary certification status with the kitchen team.

All content on the Website — including logos, product names, images, recipes, and text — is the property of Ho Kee Pau or its licensors and may not be reproduced, distributed, or used without our prior written consent.

Recommended Additional Policies

A Terms & Conditions page alone doesn’t cover everything a Singapore F&B e-commerce site needs. Here’s what we’d recommend adding, in priority order:

Policy PagePriorityWhy HKP Needs It
Privacy PolicyMust-haveLegally required under Singapore’s PDPA for any site collecting customer data (name, phone, address, payment info via checkout, marketing opt-ins). Must state what’s collected, why, retention period, and publish a DPO contact.
Refund & Return PolicyMust-havePerishable food needs its own clear policy separate from the general T&Cs — customers actively search for this before ordering online, and it reduces payment disputes/chargebacks.
Delivery PolicyMust-haveCovers delivery areas, fees, minimum order value ($150), timeslots, and what happens if no one is available to receive a perishable delivery.
Cookie Notice / Consent BannerShould-haveHKP runs Meta and TikTok ad pixels for retargeting — PDPA best practice expects a cookie banner with accept/reject before marketing tags fire, linked from the Privacy Policy.
Food Allergen & Safety DisclaimerShould-haveCan live inside the T&Cs (as drafted) or as its own short page — important given shared-kitchen allergen cross-contact (gluten, shellfish, peanuts, egg).
FAQ PageNice-to-haveNot a legal policy, but reduces customer service load — delivery areas, order cut-off times, halal/dietary status, storage & reheating instructions.
